Against a fast-moving backdrop of shifting geopolitical forces and a transitioning global economy, leading figures from the UK fund management industry joined The Investment Association and the UK government to host major international investors at this exclusive event.

2025 event highlights

Our exciting agenda featured panel debates with CEOs and senior leaders from over 12 sponsoring asset managers, and GIMS also boasted an impressive line-up of independent keynote speakers, featuring prominent figures from the worlds of investment, business, politics and science.

The event was held at an important time for investors as they start to analyse the impact on their investment strategies after half the world's population went to the polls in 2024, including the implications of Trump 2.0. We also examined the longer-term outlook across asset classes, as central banks continue to battle inflation.

Meanwhile, the Summit provided an opportunity to explore major themes such as how to future-proof portfolios to address issues like ageing populations, as well as appeal to younger investors of the future.

Our expert speakers helped us analyse key trends, including the growth of active ETFs, private markets structures and the next stage of evolution for sustainable and impact investing.

Showcasing the UK's continued growth as a global hub of financial innovation, a major focus was on technology and the future of asset management, including how the sector is incorporating AI, investing in big data and tokenisation.
